CBD AND ITS MEDICAL EFFECTS
According to Harvard Medical School’s Contributing Editor, Peter Grinspoon, CBD has been touted for a wide variety of health issues. But the strongest scientific evidence is for its effectiveness in treating some of the cruelest childhood epilepsy syndromes, such as Dravet syndrome and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS). These diseases which typically don’t respond to anti-seizure medications, respond exceptionally well to CBD. In numerous studies, CBD was able to reduce the number of seizures. In some cases, it was able to stop them altogether. It has reduced significantly seizure frequency in children with various seizure disorders.
Clinical Trials for Epilepsy
Clinical trials have found CBD to be highly effective in the treatment of certain types of epilepsy. There is also growing evidence to suggest it could help more types, although further research is needed to fully understand safe and optimal dosing. CBD received FDA approval on June 2018 to treat two rare and severe types of epilepsy and is available under prescription nationwide.
Several studies reveal that the use of CBD oil is helpful with anxiety. In 2011, a study published in the journal of Neuropsychopharmacology, revealed people with social anxiety disorder ( SAD ) had a postive influece when treated with large doses of CBD. They were given 600mg of CBD oil before publicly speaking and contrary to placebo, the patients experienced less anxiety while exposed.
Because CBD oil is not regulated as a medical treatment for anxiety, no specific dose can be given nor a recommended daily dose. One should consult a doctor who has experience with CBD oil to prescribe the correct amount.

It is a natural mood stabilizer that helps with sleeping, eating and digestion.

CBD oil can reduce acne due to its anti-inflammatory properties which reduce the visible inflammation caused by clogged hair follicles. In addition to the anti-inflammatory function, CBD oil may also help treat acne in a number of other ways.
When your body is unbalanced a CBD supplement helps activate the ECS (endocannabinoid system). When your skin is an unbalanced it leads to over production of skin oil. Additionally, CBD may also inhibit the overproduction of oils in the skin.
There has however been a fair amount of confusion surrounding the legality of CBD oil. While the majority of cannabinoids are controlled substances, rest assured that CBD oil is legal for medicinal and theraputic purposes.
